B.S. Biology WTSU

Hello, my name is Toni Thomas and I am currently teaching Science for my forth year at the Behavior Transition Center. I have 20+ years of teaching experience and have taught a variety of science courses including Biology, Dual Credit Biology Lab, Anatomy/Physiology, Integrated Physics and Chemistry, AP Biology, Pre-AP Physics, and Leadership. I also have had the opportunity to coach Volleyball, Track and sponsor several different organizations at previous districts. This experience has adequately prepared me to teach the students at the BTC campus, serving students 6th thru 12th grade, with a plethora of different realms of science that Granbury affords them the opportunity in which they can enroll. 

 

I am married to my husband Mark of 37 years and we have two daughters and two granddaughters. In my free time I like to golf, fish, and have recently started kayaking. We have enjoyed living in Granbury. I also hold a Real Estate License and dabble in the housing market for family, friends, and referrals. 

 

I enjoy teaching at the BTC campus and feel blessed to be able to see positive changes in the young men and woman that come thru our doors. It is my hope that they are returning to their home campuses and implementing  lessons learned and skills acquired, both behavioral and academic, on a daily basis. I believe the students we serve at our campus are great kids that have made a poor decision and I am here to help them make changes to their behavior, improve their attitudes and goals, and increase their academic knowledge.
